Hi there!
Welcome to this month’s AlmaLinux newsletter, where we share the latest AlmaLinux happenings, upcoming events, and more.
Quick notes - find more information below!
AlmaLinux now has Raspberry Pi5 support!
Last week, we announced three new silver sponsors and thanked the others who have backed us so far this year.
Using ELevate to upgrade your CentOS 6 and CentOS 7 devices is even more critical now. Hear about one user’s journey with ELevate!
In this blog post, David der Nederlanden shares his perspective on how AlmaLinux and ELevate support business needs, including practical tips from a real-life ELevate user! Read it here.
We recently issued yet another press release announcing yet another round of sponsors. Read this blog post to learn about each of the sponsors we just announced, and then a little about the rest of the amazing companies that are giving back to open source by sponsoring us this year.
AlmaLinux now has support for Raspberry Pi 5, thanks largely to the hard work of Metalefty! AlmaLinux now supports all of these Raspberry Pi models:

June was a lighter month for events, with us only joining Southeast Linux Fest, Fedora’s Week of Diversity, and OpenNebula’s OpenNebulaCon, but here’s what’s coming up for the rest of the year:
Academy Open Source Day, July 28th, in Denver, Colorado, US
SIGGRAPH, July 30-August 1 in Denver, Colorado, US
Flock to Fedora, August 7-10 in Rochester New York, US
Academy Open Source days, August in Los Angeles, California, US
Ohio Linux Fest (OLF), September in Columbus, Ohio, US
All things open, October 27-29 in Raleigh, North Carolina, US
Seagl, November 8-9 in Seattle, Washington, US
SC (formerly Supercompute), November 17-22 in Atlanta, Georgia, US
If you see an event missing that you think we should attend, or if you know of any amazing open source events in Asia, South America, or Africa, let us know! Our community is growing quickly in those areas, and we’d love a chance to connect with them!
We’re also looking for volunteers from the AlmaLinux community to help staff our booths. If you like chatting with folks about Linux and open source and are local to any of these events (or any others that you think we should be at) fill out this Google form! We’ll cover your travel and hotel.
If you want to make sure you catch every update from us, sign up for the Newsletters mailing list or subscribe on LinkedIn!
