We just announced AlmaLinux Day: Vancouver, which is happening August 9 (in tandem with Academy Open Source days and SIGGRAPH)! The call for papers is open until June 23, and you can learn more here.
The rest of 2025 is pretty packed. This is where we'll be visiting, exhibiting, or speaking so far through the rest of this year.
If you see an event missing that you think we should attend, or if you know of any amazing open source events in Asia, South America, or Africa, let us know! Our community is growing quickly in those areas, and we'd love a chance to connect with them!
@Tristan Théroux from @SHED and Danny Smith from @Cinesite discuss Cinesite's use of AlmaLinux for desktops and rendering, and Danny shares his advice for migrating to AlmaLinux.
Sonia Boldyreva and @Yuriy Kohut talk through live media image creation at AlmaLinux.
Community member Ben Thomas from University College London is hiring for two Senior Research Infrastructure Developers. If you're interested, make sure to apply!
We also have this newly updated website hero image, courtesy of Andrew Lukoshko. We love it! Check it out on https://almalinux.org
