Hello everyone!

Welcome to this month’s AlmaLinux newsletter, where we share the latest AlmaLinux happenings, upcoming events, and more!

Quick notes!

Latest from the AlmaLinux Blog

Action required: Getting ready for AlmaLinux 8 GPG key change

Due to a problem with the storage for the original master key for AlmaLinux 8, we are updating the AlmaLinux 8 key. Take a look at the blog post for more information about steps you can take ahead of January 12th.

Welcome to Jun and Alex!

We’ve expanded the AlmaLinux OS Foundation’s board by two seats, adding Alex Iribarren from CERN, and Jun Yoshida from Cybertrust. Learn a little more about them on the blog!

Bringing EPEL support to the ELevate project

We are thrilled to announce that the first step in EPEL support is now included in the ELevate project, enabling smooth migrations between CentOS7 and AlmaLinux 8. At present, the EPEL support does not include migrating to non-AlmaLinux OSes, or between EL8 and EL9 derivatives! Learn more about helping us with testing, contributing, and more

AlmaLinux Cloud, Container and Live Media Images Updates

Our images have been updated for 8.9 and 9.3, including the much-asked-for UEFI boot support. See the blog post for more details, and check out almalinux.org/get-almalinux for the full list of images that we provide.

Join us in the Distributions Dev Room for FOSDEM 2024!

We’ll be returning to FOSDEM in 2024 with a stand and a bunch of friends, and this time we get to help host the Distros Dev Room! The schedule is now live, and it is full of incredible topics.
