AlmaLinux 10.1 Beta “Heliotrope Lion” is available for all supported
architectures (Intel/AMD (x86_64), ARM64 (aarch64), IBM PowerPC (ppc64le),

Announcing Btrfs support in AlmaLinux OS 10.1
AlmaLinux OS 10.1 will support the Btrfs filesystem, which has already been
available in AlmaLinux OS Kitten since early September.

March 2026
📢 Due to some inconsistencies that we have identified internally, we will
be rescheduling the current board member election.

Enabling CRB by default for AlmaLinux 10
To reduce the friction in using software from Fedora Extra Packages from
Enterprise Linux (EPEL), we are enabling the CRB repository by default.
AlmaLinux OS 10 will have the CRB repository turned on by default via an
update in AlmaLinux OS 10.0 on 2025-09-09, while AlmaLinux OS Kitten 10 has
had it enabled by default since the update on 2025-08-27
(almalinux-kitten-repos-10.0-9.el10.0.1).
