Hello AlmaLinux Mirror Team, my name is Thomas Stinner, and I operate Stinner IT Solutions e.U. in Austria. We have set up a new public AlmaLinux mirror to contribute additional mirror capacity for users in Austria and Central Europe. Mirror information: Mirror URL: https://mirror.stinner-it.com/almalinux/ Example repository metadata: https://mirror.stinner-it.com/almalinux/10/BaseOS/x86_64/os/repodata/repomd… Location: Austria Operator: Stinner IT Solutions e.U. Synchronization: Every three hours from the official AlmaLinux rsync service Available protocols: HTTPS Connectivity: 80 Mbit/s Internet connection Monitoring: https://mirror.stinner-it.com/status.json https://mirror.stinner-it.com/health.txt The mirror is fully automated using rsync and systemd. Repository metadata and files are publicly accessible, and successful synchronization runs are monitored locally. At present, the server mirrors AlmaLinux 10 only. We chose to begin with one major version so that we could validate synchronization, monitoring, availability, and public delivery before expanding the storage platform. The mirror is currently operational and has successfully completed repeated synchronization and external repository-access tests. We understand that full public mirrors commonly provide all supported major versions. Before submitting a pull request to the AlmaLinux mirrors repository, we would therefore like to ask whether an AlmaLinux 10-only mirror could be accepted as a partial or version-specific public mirror. If all supported major versions are mandatory for inclusion, we would also appreciate guidance on the expected storage and operational requirements so that we can evaluate the appropriate storage expansion. We are happy to operate the mirror for a probationary or observation period and provide any additional technical details, logs, contact information, or monitoring data required for review.
